One thing that was nice to hear the other day was Samson saying they were looking very closely at acquiring bullpen arms but then they realized that their bullpen is just fine the way it is. Who knows if that means we don't actually end up acquiring a bullpen arm, but it was nice to know that they finally realized what we wanted them to realize

so I did some sloothing and I found this player on a terrible team that can play either corner OF spot and 1B and he makes less than $3mil this year He is hitting .297/.415/.569 in 209 AB, has an OPS over 1.000 against lefties while it's at .929 against righties. Incredibly he started off the year 6 for 38. Since then, this player is hitting .327/.431/.637 in 171 at bats. ![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d5/FAN_6422_Josh_Willingham.jpg/250px-FAN_6422_Josh_Willingham.jpg) His name is Josh Willingham, he's a good hitter and would be perfect for our rag tag bunch. ps: STL is rumored to be going after him

Maybe we can trade Emilio Bonifacio for him? Sounds fair right?

Looks like STL is getting close to getting Holliday which means the Hammer would stay in crapville.

Every day Willingham remains on the Nationals I get sadder.

As much as I'd love to see it, Beinfest would never bring Hammer back so soon, because it would be the equivalent of admitting he made a mistake, and that's just not going to happen. GM's are a stubborn bunch, and you just don't see that kind of thing happen.

Sadly, I also agree with Nick. As much as I'd love to bring Hammer back, Beinfest won't admit he was wrong so soon.
Look at how long it took the front office to send Miller to the minors to work his shit out. Yes, he had his moments but most guys don't work on a new delivery in the majors.

Emilio Bonifacio, Jake Smolinski and P.J. Dean for Josh Willingham, let's do it.
